Organic waste is not waste, say MOOMOO’s architects, who decided not to order any wooden material for their work, but to use the leftovers of the other groups. This way they create balance, because in their work all the other group’s work is presented. One side of the installation is a brushed, sanded surface, while the other side shows the raw, scraggy aspect of the materials.
MOOMOO was founded in 2008 by Jakub Majewski and Lukasz Pastuszka.
In 2009 Wallpaper* Magazine selected the office as one of the best 30 young offices in the world. MOOMOO's works have been previously shown on exhibitions in London, Shanghai, Rotterdam, Milan, Berlin and Brussels. Publications in: Leisure Hours, Color Space, 55 IN, Creative Commercial Space. Interviews in magazines such as: Wallpaper*, Prestige House, Arqytectura y Deseno, Design Week, Newsweek. Participation in Polish Design at the London Festival and Lodz Design Festival.
